THE ISSUE:
The SGA E-Board is comprised of delegates that, prior to being elected, campaigned individual platforms unique to their personal beliefs. After each individual is elected, the SGA E-Board then becomes a board with varying agendas. The varying agendas create conflict amongst the executive board. Board members are then more likely to disagree and the effectiveness of the SGA overall is stifled due to a lack of order and an unclear agenda for the academic year in which they serve.
THE SOLUTION:
To tackle the conflicts that arise from varying agendas of the SGA E-Board, as secretary, I will push and recommend that the E-Board attends mandatory meetings to discuss what each member desires to do through their leadership role on the E-Board. With these ideas and interests, a consensus of issue areas to focus on per semester will be derived through compromise, accommodation, and level of importance. To address the issue areas agreed upon, a semester calendar is to be constructed and addressed individually to maximize efficiency.
